Singapore Employment Pass (EP)

Singapore is a country that values talent very much, so EP is a Singapore work permit issued by the Singapore Ministry of Manpower to foreign professionals. This work permit allows the holder to work and live in Singapore. There is no need to apply for an entry visa when leaving or entering Singapore. The validity period of EP is usually one to two years, and it can be renewed if it expires. EP holders also have the status to apply for Singapore permanent residency (PR).

Eligibility for EP

Must be employed by a company and have a job opportunity in a professional field. Minimum monthly salary is 4,500 SGD. For older or more experienced people, higher salary is required. Must have a good university degree, professional skills and qualifications, which must be proved by diplomas.
